I’m Austin Ferris, a Massachusetts-based Small Business buyer

I grew up around people who valued hard work, accountability, and doing right by customers. Those values continue to shape how I approach running a business today.

Professionally, I’ve spent the past decade gaining experience across operations, strategy, pricing, sales, and process improvement roles for a wide range of businesses.

I’ve worked with all types of people, including business owners, warehouse teams, operations managers, and frontline employees. Those experiences reinforced the importance of strong teams, clear communication, and steady leadership.

My Goal: Acquire & operate a Massachusetts business

My goal is to build on the foundation you’ve already created — preserving what makes the business successful while supporting continued growth through dedicated leadership, operational focus, and long-term commitment.

I’m looking to become a hands-on owner who is committed to employees, customers, and the company’s legacy.

Why sell to me?

My approach is centered on continuity, stability, and long-term ownership.

Unlike many buyers, I have no plans to roll the business up into another brand, upend existing practices and team members, or turn a quick profit through another short-term sale.

My focus is on learning the business, supporting employees, maintaining customer relationships, and building on the strong foundation already in place.

Key Criteria

Not every business will fit all of these criteria, but generally I am looking for:

  • Operations located within roughly one hour of the Boston metro area.

  • Businesses that have been operating successfully for 10+ years with a strong reputation in their market.

  • A dependable team that handles day-to-day operations and takes pride in their work.

  • Several years of stable earnings, in the range of approximately $500K–$1M in EBITDA.

  • I’m especially interested in service businesses that provide dependable, recurring services to customers and communities.
